Parts of the circle
Radius- the distance from the center of a circle to the edge, represented by the variable r
Diameter- the distance across a circle through its center, represented by d

Relationship between radius and diameter
-diameter is twice longer than radius
- radius is half of diameter

Constructing circles
1. compass
2. trace a circle
3. string

Concentric circles
-same center point different radius

Circumference
- the distance around the circle
- usually represented by c
- this is a linear measurement
