Probability Jan. 17, 2011

Probability-the likelihood or chance of an event occuring (something happening).
Probability is favourable outcomes over possible outcomes.



  • Probability can be expressed as a fraction, ratio, or percent.
  • Favourable Outcome is a successful resort in a probability experiment.
  • Possible Outcome is one possible result of a probability experiment.
  • p(6) is a way to say probability of rolling a 6 on a die.
